Other - 37-year-old female

History
A 37-year-old female who for the past 5 years has undergone treatment for an Astrocytoma, including surgery, radiation therapy, and Gamma Knife Therapy.

Original Diagnosis
Over the past year, an increasing abnormality has appeared on MRI. It was unclear whether it was a recurrence of active cancer.

PET Findings
Increased metabolic activity characteristic of active cancer in two areas at the periphery of a large cyst.

Change in treatment plan
Further therapy is now indicated.
